Melanie Leavey was born and raised in the north-east of England before emigrating to Canada with her family at the age of nine.

An aspiring hermit and passionate gardener, she likes nothing more than drinking tea and thumbing through the latest David Austin rose catalogue.

Country mouse turned town mouse, she lives with her husband, two children, a badly behaved Jack Russell and a cat named George in Fort Erie, Ontario.

"Oh, YES.

Literary, quirky, snarky, noir. Asks the same questions that Dostoevsky asks in Crime and Punishment - who has the right to live? who has the right to kill? and what's the difference between a poacher and a hunter, anyway? (that last question" Read more of this review »
